Evelyn Waghorne

My name is Evelyn Waghorne, I came to Compaid in 2002 for 2 mornings a week, I had no experience of computers so I was a little nervous of coming. I had been house bound for about 10 years after an accident at work in February 1993, as a carer in the community, a job I loved, working with the elderly and the disabled. A mother of 3 children and a wife to my husband John, my life was complete. I live in pain every day and am restricted in what I can do. Every day tasks are hard to do. Compaid has given me the confidence to make the best of what I can do. I knew nothing about computers, I had lost my self esteem and was uncertain what Compaid could offer me. My life to day is full of confidence to make my own personal cards and painting. My Christmas snowman and lady remind me of my parents and the love of two people shared at Christmas.
