COMPAID Trust is a charity that was founded in 1986. The setting up of the Trust followed a great deal of research and experience acquired working with residents of Seven Springs Cheshire Home. Lorna Ridgway MBE, founder of the Trust, realised the potential of computers to assist people who, for various reasons, are unable to speak and/or express themselves. The computer, and where necessary, specialist software and input devices, allows many people to communicate, be rehabilitated and/or develop their skills.
